Over the last 10 years, the Marx Foods blog has grown into a complete catalog of over 1,000 recipes developed by a series of renowned chefs.
Marx executive chefs are alums of The Herb Farm, Alinea/Huxley Wallace Group, Crush and Canlis (to name only a few). I lead the charge in completely overhauling the web property through strategy, tech, and design to better serve up the recipes to a growing customer base.
Role: Creative / Art Director
The numbers show that it was an outstanding success. Not only were we able to better serve our customers by giving them a fully searchable, easier to read format with intriguing pictures, we were able to convert more readers into customers by providing a more compelling reason to try a new food. I managed design and programing teams, along with the database and photography build, turning even non-designers into photo editors in order to find and process over a thousand recipes and photos in a timely manner.
